Mannschaft-trainer Joachim Löw has been married to his wife Daniela since 1986. The couple have always remained childless.
In spite of her husband’s fame Daniela likes to stay in the background: ,,He is the star, I do not like the spotlights so much”, she said in an interview. The successful coach respects his wife’s wishes. Daniela does go to see her husband’s matches, but prefers staying in the regular stands with her friends over the VIP’s in the boxes .
Daniela is ‘Jogi’s’ childhood love. They met in school. Joachim Löw was studying to be a wholesaler’s representative; she was working for an automobile company in Freiburg. When Jogi starting playing for the club presided by Daniela’s father the spark ignited. In 1986 they got married, in a church wedding as well. The marriage knew no scandals. ,,And unfortunately there were no children”, Joachim Löw confessed. They do support children in Africa and India.
In their time together Joachim and Daniela like to read or have some deep conversations. Charity is very important for both of them. This is why they are active for schools in developing countries.
Dani, as she is often called, has her own career. She is a buyer for a wholesaler and has her own boutique. She caused some commotion a while back by losing a lot of weight. The ever a bit portly Daniela lost over thirty pounds, among other things with a lot of exercise. Together with Joachim the blond has an apartment in the centre of Berlin and a nice house in Wittnau. There they like to enjoy a plate of spaghetti and a nice glass of red wine. Which should not be a problem on his salary of an estimated 2,7 million Euros annually.
As a club coach Löw worked, among others, for VfB Stuttgart, the Austrian FC Tirol Innsbruck and Austria Wien, and Turkish Fenerbahce. The climax of his career however was without a doubt the final victory at the 2014 World Championship.
